A new investigation by The Washington Post revealed that a drawn out environmental review by the National Park Service delayed plans to reinforce corroded sewer lines for years, resulting in catastrophic failure. DC Lawmakers Jump On Cannabis Drink Trend

A new proposal by Bowser would allow D.C. breweries and distilleries to partner with licensed cannabis outlets to make nonalcoholic cannabis drinks. They would need a specific license and could only sell them at dispensaries but could open a new trending income stream for local businesses. It now heads to D.C. Council. [Axios]

Forest Service Shuts DC Headquarters

The U.S. Forest Service is moving its headquarters from D.C. to Salt Lake City as part of a controversial reorganization that will relocate most of the organization's D.C. employees. The Trump administration says it’s to move officials closer to forest communities but employees are calling it a “pointless exercise.” [Government Executive]

Bowser Condemns DC Lawmakers as ‘Soft On Crime’

Mayor Bowser accused D.C. Council of being “soft on crime” after they delayed the vote to extend the city’s targeted youth curfew.
