There is so much going on this January, including D.C.’s Winter Restaurant Week from Jan. 15 - 21. There are a bunch of new restaurants on the list this year, including some that haven’t even opened yet. So, it's time to start making some reservations ASAP.
How It Works:
There are over 150 participating restaurants that will offer a prix fixe multi-course dinner option for $40, $55, or $65 and a lunch option for $25 or $35. Pro tip: go for lunch if you can. It’s often similar to the dinner menu, but half the price.

Chef Kevin Tien is reopening his beloved Vietnamese restaurant next week in Penn Quarter. The menu is still a mystery but expect it to be completely revamped.
I am drooling looking at Tim Ma’s RW menu. Expect menu classics like honey walnut calamari, katsu, and kimchi spätzel. These usually go for $30 a plate, so don’t miss out.
Najmieh Batmanglij, hailed as the “the guru of Persian cuisine,” opened her first restaurant in Tysons this year. The RW menu includes lamb and pistachio meatballs, duck fesenjoon, and baklava.
The latest by the owners of Le Dip, this Mexico City-inspired restaurant at Union Market is undeniably fun and delicious. The RW menu includes tuna tostadas, enfrijoladas, and Mexican chocolate pudding.
This Filipino café from the chef behind Bad Saint is opening its full service restaurant on Jan. 20. The $55 dinner option for restaurant week is a great way to check it out.
