Tired of your go-to restaurants? Here’s what’s brand new and worth trying in the D.C. restaurant world.

🌮 Baja Tap (Adams Morgan) – Located in the old Mellow Mushroom space, Baja Tap is like a larger Cortez (RIP). The homemade tortillas make the $5 tacos (almost) worth it. Go for happy hour with $6 margs and $5 quesadillas.

🍸 Lucha Rosa (Mt Vernon Square) – This new drinking perch opened yesterday atop the Moxy Hotel. The bar has one of D.C.’s largest agave menus but keeps a tight cocktail list of fruit and spice-forward drinks.

🌹 Rose Ave Bakery (Woodley Park) – The wildly popular Asian American bakery is finally opening its own brick-and-mortar tomorrow. Think pandan doughnuts, black sesame swirl cookies, and ube lattes.

🍕 Alfresco Tap & Grill (Adams Morgan) – The owners of Lauriol Plaza are opening this all-American joint right up the road, with solid sandwiches, burgers, and pizza. Opens April 20.

🍣 Ginza Omakase Pop-up (Barracks Row) – This karaoke spot is hosting an 18-course Omakase tasting menu for $150 through the end of May.
