This dive on U Street NW has a piano on the second floor that has open piano night every Wednesday with an occasional artist spotlight.
Right Proper Bathroom (Brookland):
This brewery has a full-fledged mini conservatory in its bathroom. Maybe not the audience you were looking for, but I am sure the people waiting outside will appreciate your tunes as they cross their legs in desperation.
7 Drum City (Truxton Circle):
Not exactly public, but you can book a rehearsal room with a piano at this community music space by the hour. And they regularly have open jam sessions, so keep an eye on their calendar.
Busboys and Poets (Anacostia):
This public piano in Busboys and Poets is free to use seven days a week, as long as there is no event going on in the space.
